Secretary/Treasurer, Maryland Sheriffs' Association, 2013-14 (member, 1998-; 4th vice-president, 2010-11; 3rd vice-president, 2011-12; 2nd vice-president, 2012-13). Former Director, State Police Training Academy. Former staff member, planning and research, Maryland State Police. Member, American Legion Post no. 31, Westminster; Knights of Columbus Council no. 11631, Taneytown (grand knight, 1995-96); Marine Corps League, Westminster. Married, four children.
