In January 2024, the Maryland Legislative Jewish Caucus was organized and officially recognized as a caucus of the General Assembly.

The Caucus formed to fight antisemitism and hate crimes, protect religious freedom, and educate Marylanders about the Jewish community. The Caucus also serves as a liaison to Jewish people, and celebrates Jewish culture and heritage.
